About Us
Soma can take a roll of fabric and turn it into a packaged shop ready garment. We employ 38 staff and apart from a basic sewing plant of over-lockers and plain-sewers we have the following specialist plant:
- Elasticating (over-locking and flat-locking)
- Heavy duty bar-tacking
- Doming
- Flat-locking
- Binding
- Flat Seaming
- Button-hole and button-sew
- Blind hemming
- Fronting
In addition, we have a full in-house tensionless laying up machine, garment cutting, a Gerber CAD systems for marker making and full examining, pressing and packing. At Soma, we also try to minimise our environmental footprint and recycle wherever we can packaging, paper, plastic and fabric off-cuts.
